How to get in touch

There are a number of ways to get in touch with the school:

• In person. Teachers are available for a quick discussion at the end of the school day, and appointments can be made for longer discussions. The headteacher and senior leaders are also available at the gates at the end of the school day.
• Email. Please use the admin email address above to contact the school. Your email will be forwarded to the appropriate member of staff. Where possible, the school will seek to provide an initial response within two working days. Emails sent to the school during the holidays will not generally be read until school re-opens.
• Phone. Any messages shared with the admin team using the phone number above will be passed on as appropriate.

Naturally, the school will not tolerate any threats of violence or intimidating behaviour from parents or visitors and any such incidents will be followed up appropriately. Any communication which staff deem to be aggressive or abusive will be passed on to the Senior Leadership Team.

Communication from the school

Most communication from the school to parents happens via email. Our weekly newsletter is usually shared on a Friday and includes updates from the headteacher and notices about what is coming up. Parents may receive separate emails about particular issues such as clubs or trips that their child is involved in.

Occasionally, particularly urgent messages are also shared via text message. These begin 'SPPS'.

Very urgent messages, such as an injury to a child, will be shared over the phone. It is therefore essential that the school holds up-to-date contact information for parents and, if at all possible, other responsible adults.

Parent-Teacher Meetings

Parent-Teacher meetings help us to keep parents informed of the progress their child has made and to share ideas for supporting them at home.  We value the opportunity to talk with you, share your child's work and hear from you about your child.

We hold Parent-Teacher Meetings twice across the year: the first meeting is in Autumn and the second is in Spring. You will also receive your child's mid-year report shortly before the meeting in Spring. This is the school's main annual report, though a second, shorter report is provided in Summer to share assessment results.
