How Home Learning Works

All children who are at home and well are expected to log in to Google Classroom (or in EYFS the school website or Tapestry) daily.

  • Parents need to ensure that their child is online and learning. They are also responsible for  monitoring their child’s safety while online at home. https://coronavirus.lgfl.net/safeguarding
  • Our expectation is that every child submits their allocated learning tasks each day.

    • In EYFS and Year 1, learning tasks are set for the week and parents turn in tasks through submitting photos to Tapestry

    • In Year 2 to Year 6, at least three pieces of work are set daily via Google Classroom

  • School exercise books have been provided and should be used where requested by the teacher. These books should be treated in the same way as books in school are. Presentation of work should be neat and tidy and tasks should be dated. We may ask for the books to be shown in a video meeting or photos taken of the tasks completed in the book.

  • Children at home because of a class lockdown or whole school lockdown will register twice a day using Google MEET.

  • If attempts to contact a family are unsuccessful, SLT will presume that child is 'missing in education' and follow the usual attendance procedures.
