General Messages for parents about the school day
Health and Wellbeing
- Good routines with regular set bedtimes are very important. Primary age children need 10-12 hours sleep every night. Please make sure your child’s Chromebook/ iPad is switched off at least 2 hours before bedtime.
- All children must do daily exercise e.g. Joe Wicks. These are live on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 - 9:30 but recorded videos available at all times. PE With Joe | 2021. Another option is DDMix - Darcey's Classroom Dance Mix

- Family Dance Workshops for 2-6 year olds
- Please support your child by ensuring they take their breaks during the set times and that they move away from the screen.
- Fresh air is also important for children’s wellbeing. Please try to take your child out for a short local walk every lunchtime.
- Make sure that your child has time to relax and encourage them to talk about how they are feeling and share any worries or concerns with you so that you can reassure them.
- Monitor their use of the internet to make sure they are safe
About our timetables
- Please note, your child might have additional/ different Meets set up to support them with their reading, writing or maths. They will be notified through their Google Classroom
- If there are any changes, we will update the timetables below and inform your child through Google Classroom.
- There will be optional or independent tasks in other subjects so that your child can learn the whole curriculum
- There will be short discussion sessions with class teachers that will focus on wellbeing and online safety
- After 3.30pm other “homework” may be done. All children know how to access their practice Apps and websites. This will be managed by parents. Children’s screen time outside of “school hours” needs to be monitored closely by parents for health and safety reasons.
