My warmest congratulations to Richard, who, as you know, is currently our Deputy Head and acting Head for one day a week. I know that he will be a fantastic headteacher!

Dear parents and carers,

I am delighted to let you know that Richard has been appointed as headteacher of Stepney Park, to start in January 2026 when Edith retires. His appointment follows a full and rigorous process of interviewing during which Richard’s skills, knowledge, passion and commitment to the children at Stepney Park shone through. He thoroughly deserves this appointment and the governors are looking forward to working with him and with the rest of the team and the community in this next chapter for Stepney Park Primary School.
