Whole School Family Trip
We're looking forward to seeing many of you at Victoria Park this Friday, June 27th, for our whole-school family trip! The forecast promises a dry and, most importantly, fun-filled day for everyone. Remember to collect your park maps from the school gates after school on Thursday.
Reminders:
-
School Lunches & Snacks: Children travelling with school will receive a packed school lunch, but are welcome to bring additional snacks. School lunches (for Reception to Year 6) will be available for collection between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM at the designated point on your map.
-
School Travel Schedule: Children joining the school group should arrive at school by 8:50 AM for a planned departure at 9:15 AM. We anticipate returning to school by 3:30 PM.
-
Packing Essentials: Please pack a change of clothes for your child, in case they get wet during activities.
-
Facilities at the Park: Four dedicated portaloos will be available for Stepney Park Primary School's use – please refer to the map for their location.
-
Your Day at the Park: Once at Victoria Park, you are free to explore! Your map (emailed on Monday to parents) indicates our "base camp" area, conveniently located near toilets and cafés.
-
Departure Flexibility: You are welcome to stay at the park for as long as you wish after our official activities conclude, as you will not be travelling back to school with our group.
-
School Group Return: Class groups will depart from the "base camp" at 2:00 PM to return to school.
-
Rubbish Collection: We kindly request that you take all your rubbish with you when you leave the park.
Pass it on weeks
Dates are as follows:
-
Monday June 30th to Friday July 4th: Donate school uniform tops at the school gates. Children do not need to wear a school uniform.
-
Monday July 7 to Friday July 11th: We will wash and prepare the uniforms. Children do not need to wear a school uniform.
-
Monday July 14th and Tuesday July 15th: ‘Pass it on give-away event’ in the school playground. Please come and help yourself! Children should wear a school uniform in this last week of term, from July 15th onwards.
Headscarves
We have recently observed a trend amongst some older girls where their headscarves, due to their length or draping style (both at the front and back), may pose a safety risk, particularly during active play and contact games. Additionally, the use of safety pins to secure the scarves is a concern. We are keen to address this to prevent potential accidents, so can you please ensure that your child wears a pull-over headscarf, similar to the ones in the photos below:

Thank you for your understanding,
Kind regards.
