Headteacher's News

 Friday 27th March 2026

Dear parents and carers of Stepney Park,

As it’s the last day of school before the holidays, I’ve been reflecting on what a fantastic term it’s been. From seeing children’s books and visiting classes, I’ve seen the fantastic progress children are making in their learning, and it was great to see many parents’ proud smiles in school when we held our parent-teacher meetings this week.

I also joined the Parents’ Coffee Morning on Monday this week. We had a great turn out of about 30 and, on this occasion, shared some treats to mark Eid. Coffee mornings happen every Monday morning, sometimes with a particular theme, so do come along if you’d like to make contact with other parents.

School will re-open after the holidays on Monday 13th April. In the meantime, have a wonderful break.

Richard.

Headteacher, Stepney Park Primary School.

Volunteering in the Community. Last week, a group of year 4 children volunteered to help out at the Half Moon Theatre, Limehouse. They got a tour of the backstage area, then worked in teams to help tidy up part of the theatre before taking part in an art trail. Staff at the theatre said the children were ‘brilliant’ and loved having them there. The Half Moon Theatre is nearby and puts on lots of activities and shows for children of all ages. Check out their website: www.halfmoon.org.uk

Forest & Meadow. In Forest and Meadow classes, children have been enjoying learning about Eid. They made some decorations and cards to take home. In Forest class, children have also been learning how to make toast from instructions. They then used their preferred communication strategy to pick what they wanted on their toast.
