Headteacher's News

Friday 4th September 2026

Dear parents and carers of Stepney Park,

Great start to the year. It has been a tremendous first few days of school at Stepney Park: children have come back eager and are already impressing their new teachers. It’s been another reminder of how valued education is in our community.

Children in Reception. As children have begun to settle into their routines, from Monday we will no longer allow parents to walk across the playground in the morning. As such, parents with children in reception will need to use the gate on Redmans Road. Children will soon begin to make their own way to class from the gate - one of their first steps as they build independence through reception. The entire route to class will of course be supervised.

Art Studio. I’ve been asked a few times about the school’s art studio. We had a spare room in our South building so we decided to move the art studio into it and demolish the temporary building to add space to our playground. The new art studio is large and bright and will provide children with a great space to develop their creative talents.

All the best for the week ahead.

Richard.
