Headteacher's News

Friday 2nd October 2026

Dear parents and carers of Stepney Park,

Online safety - feedback. Thank you to those parents who have approached me to discuss the recent change in the websites children are able to access on their Chromebooks. It seems as though most parents are very supportive of the move. This week, we have spotted an added benefit: children’s use of Times Tables Rockstars at home has increased significantly, and some teachers have reported better homework completion too.

All the best for the week ahead.

Richard.

Headteacher, Stepney Park Primary School.

Stars of Stepney Park

Great start to Y4. What a wonderful start to the new academic year it has been for Year 4! The children have settled into their new routines with enthusiasm, maturity, and bright smiles.

In PE, Year 4 have been developing their agility, teamwork, and ball skills during energetic sessions led by a specialist cricket coach. The children are thoroughly enjoying mastering their bowling and batting techniques.

Creativity is also blooming in the classroom! In art, pupils have been experimenting with line and structure by crafting intricate wire portraits. It has been inspiring to watch their fine motor skills and creative patience bring these unique 3D sculptures to life.

Looking ahead, anticipation is building for our upcoming educational trip to Westminster Abbey! Having missed out on this memorable excursion when it was postponed in Year 3, the children are extra eager to explore the historic landmark and discover its rich history.

It has been a brilliant start, and we look forward to seeing everything Year 4 will achieve this term!
