26th November 2021, Newsletter

We are focused and collaborative learners!

Editor's message!

It is not often I share my reflections with you - but creating the newsletter this week has been an absolute pleasure - as always!  It is a reminder of the fantastic staff we have, who work so hard and enthusiastically to create brilliant learning experiences for the children.  It is a reminder of the breadth and creativity of our curriculum, as children learn in such a wide variety of interesting ways.  And - most importantly - it is a reminder of our wonderful pupils - YOUR brilliant children - who we have the pleasure to help develop and grow each week.

Thank you to everyone in our Stepney Park community!

Don't forget to go to the regularly updated Parents' page for further updates on opportunities in school and across Tower Hamlets. There are lots of links to courses, parenting information and wellbeing advice.

Workshops for Parents

 Year 1 and 2 Parents

We would love to see you there!

A reminder to all families, that we are certified through the National Online Safety organisation, who support schools and parents to manage children online.

We encourage all parents to explore their website, as well as our Useful Links page which has a range of websites to find out about supporting pupils to work online safely.

Please remind your children that they have a responsibility to use their chromebooks in a safe and responsible way.  Please always supervise all their Internet use to ensure that they know they are supported by their families to be safe online.   This includes chat on Roblox and other online games.  We know that children can sometimes encourage each other to look up inappropriate content online, and we must work as a community to discourage this and keep them safe.

Let us know if you have any concerns about your child's Internet use, so we can help them learn to be safer.

Great Events at School

Festive Jumper Day!

All pupils are invited to make their own jumper for our Festive Jumper Day on Wednesday 15th December

Get creative to raise money for charity! You can make your own jumper by sticking on stars or snow balls or Christmas trees.

We will give out certificates to the best ones!

Bring in a donation for the Save the Children charity

Year 5 had the opportunity to go to the Natural History Museum.

We took the train there from Stepney Green station all the way to South Kensington.

When we got to the museum, we looked at the fossils of many extinct animals including dinosaurs! We also participated in a live show all about oceans and habitats.  We learned so much, and we know it is going to inform our understanding of the natural world.  Watch this space to see the work we will do in Geography and Science!

It looks like we are going to be eaten by these scary dinosaurs! Watch out Year 5!!

Why don't you go to the Natural History Museum with your family at the weekend or during the Christmas Holidays?  It is so much fun!
